Bell Choir

The Spirit of Grace bell choir is composed of 3 octaves of Whitechapel handbells from England. We have a rotating roster of 7-12 ringers who come from both our church community and the larger Hood River community. Practices are Wednesdays, 7-8 pm in the Spirit of Grace sanctuary. The Bell Choir performs in worship at Spirit of Grace about four times per year. All levels of experience are welcome! For more information, contact our director:

Women’s Spirituality Group
1st Saturday of the month, 9am-12pm
Spirit of Grace women’s spiritual group meets monthly to engage in fellowship and spiritual formation. Each year we select one book for study and at each monthly meeting, we read that month’s designated chapter(s) aloud together. We begin each gathering with a time catching up on our lives since last we met. We sometimes discuss the readings as we go, or at the conclusion of our reading time we spend time in personal reflection, study, reading, prayer, journaling, art and related activities. The majority of our books also include questions at the end of each chapter or in an online study guide which are used by each session’s volunteer presenter as a guideline for the day’s activities.
Recent books we’ve studied include:
2025: The Gift of Years: Growing Old Gracefully by Joan Chittister
2024: Return to the Root: Reflections on the Inner Life by Joyce Rupp
2023: 12 Tiny Things by Heidi Barr & Ellie Roscher
Our group has about twelve members and is open to any woman who is a member or friend of Spirit of Grace. We usually meet on the first Saturday of the month from 9am-12pm.
